MI collaborating with other Canadian NGOs to have global impact on improvements to maternal and child health

MI is participating at Impact 2025: Working together for Global Maternal, Newborn & Child Health, a Canadian symposium in Ottawa on Oct 3 and 4, hosted by the Canadian Network for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (CAN-MNCH).

The life-saving work done by the 70 Canadian organizations that comprise CAN-MNCH will be highlighted as the groups share success stories and strengthen their collaborative efforts in over a thousand regions around the world.

For more than 20 years, through support from the Government of Canada and other donors, MI has been at the forefront of providing the world´s most vulnerable with the vitamins and minerals to help them survive and live healthy and productive lives, including working with country governments to provide support in their maternal, newborn and child health programming. More recently, Canada has created significant momentum in maternal and child health, supported by investments through the Muskoka Initiative. MI is a key partner in delivering on Canada´s maternal, newborn and child health objectives.

The Symposium provides an excellent opportunity to bring together national organizations and key health leaders working in the field to not only look at how Canadian investments in maternal, newborn and child health have been successful but also to examine how Canadian innovation and ongoing commitment can accelerate our collaborative work to continue to save lives of women and children.

MI is excited to be participating on panels, in poster presentations and leading workshops over the two-day symposium. Follow us on Twitter for live coverage @micronutrient.
