Celebrating 25 Years of Impact

Joel Spicer, President and CEO

Nutrition holds the key to unlocking the human potential of millions of people, especially women, adolescent girls and children. It is the difference between attending school and learning there, between giving birth to a child and giving her life, and between fighting a disease and surviving it.

Our organization was created as an act of solidarity with malnourished people and has grown from a small Canadian start-up, into a global nutrition organization reaching millions of vulnerable people every year. To celebrate this evolution and for our brand to catch-up with who we have become over the last 25 years, on April 4 th 2017, the Micronutrient Initiative became Nutrition International.

Find out more about our 25 year history and discover some of our many accomplishments through the interactive timeline below.

Reflecting on the many lives we have changed over the past quarter century, we take great pride in Canada’s longstanding leadership and commitment to nutrition globally that has made it possible.

Thank you Canada!
