As Vice-President of Operations, Steve Gilbert leads the delivery of Nutrition International’s core programming. His responsibilities include the oversight of project planning, implementation, and monitoring, as well as donor accountability and reporting. Steve oversees the development and maintenance of structures and systems for data collection and leads negotiations of final agreements between Nutrition International and partners. He provides input into Nutrition International’s operational management as a member of the organization’s Executive Management Committee (EMC).
Formerly the Director of Program Services for Nutrition International, Steve managed Nutrition International’s reports to donors and was responsible for global procurement of micronutrient commodities and product development.
Steve has more than 20 years of management and consulting expertise in the international development sector and has worked around the world, including long-term assignments in Indonesia, Cuba, Guyana and Costa Rica. His work experience also includes six years in senior and executive INGO management roles in Canada, as well as six years in private consulting.
Steve holds a BSc in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Toronto.
Prior to joining Nutrition International in 2013, Steve was a founding partner of Eka Dunia Consultants, an international development consulting firm specializing in management consulting for development agencies and in project design, implementation and evaluation.
