Andrew Thompson is a Senior Technical Advisor, Program Insights and Impact Analytics at Nutrition International. Under the supervision of the Vice President, Global Technical Services and Chief Technical Advisor, Andrew leads key cross-functional technical teams and initiatives at Nutrition International which contribute to strategic research, the development of decision-making tools, and insightful guidance that advances the organization’s global technical agenda. He has over a decade of international experience working in the field of nutrition with a particular focus on data, analytics, program assessment, and translating evidence into impact.
Before joining Nutrition International in 2015, Andrew worked for UNICEF based in New York where he led the UNICEF-WHO-World Bank Joint Child Malnutrition Estimates and other important data-driven nutrition publications. Andrew holds a Master of Science in Public Health degree in Human Nutrition from the Department of International Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences from Lyman Briggs College at Michigan State University.
