The following document provides recommendations that can and have been used to assist countries with the implementation of flour fortification programs on a national scale. Section I covers the design and specifications for feeders and mixers for use in flour fortification in large-scale mills. Section II covers the procurement of feeders and mixers, including contact details and recommendations based on technical suitability of manufacturers and suppliers from Europe, North America and developing countries. Section III covers recommendations to assist developing countries in local or regional production of feeders.
