Adolescent nutrition programming in Kenya

Meet Esther and Gracious – two students in Vihiga County, Kenya, who are active participants in their school’s adolescent nutrition program.

Under the guidance of their teacher, students are learning the importance of getting the nutrients they need to be at their best. This includes promoting a diversified diet for adolescent girls and boys, and access to weekly iron and folic acid supplementation (WIFAS) to prevent anaemia for adolescent girls.

Watch to find out what an in-school adolescent nutrition program looks like in Vihiga County and how Nutrition International is supporting the County Government of Vihiga to achieve its goals.
