Joel Spicer is the President and CEO of Nutrition International. He is a global health leader with a track record of building and leading initiatives and partnerships in nutrition, maternal and child health, TB, HIV, innovative finance and resource mobilization. Over his career he has worked for the Canadian International Development Agency, UNICEF, WHO, Stop TB Partnership, World Bank and in support of governments.

Joel is passionate about unlocking human potential for people living in poverty and closing the missed opportunities gap. He has a proven track record of expanding the relevance, reach, and impact of organizations by creating alignment among different actors and building momentum for collective action.

Joel attended the Harvard School of Public Health on a Fulbright scholarship where he obtained an MPH, International Health (Health Policy and Management), and also the London School of Economics and Political Science where he earned an M.Sc. in Development Studies. In September 2016, Joel received the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health Emerging Public Health Professional Award.
