Steve has more than 20 years of management and consulting expertise in the international development sector and has worked around the world.

As Vice-President of Business Development, Steve Gilbert is responsible for creating the structures and processes that Nutrition International needs to achieve a fully funded 2018-2024 Investment Case as well as mobilizing funds from new sources.

Formerly the Vice-President of Operations, Steve led the delivery of Nutrition International’s core programming. His responsibilities included the oversight of project planning, implementation, and monitoring, as well as donor accountability and reporting.

Steve has more than 20 years of management and consulting expertise in the international development sector and has worked around the world, including long-term assignments in Indonesia, Cuba, Guyana and Costa Rica. His previous work experience also includes over six years in senior and executive INGO management roles in Canada, as well as six years in private consulting.

Steve holds a BSc in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Toronto.

Prior to joining Nutrition International in 2013, Steve was a founding partner of Eka Dunia Consultants, an international development consulting firm specializing in management consulting for development agencies and in project design, implementation and evaluation.
