Overview

The compendium features stories of change from the Barangay First 1000 Days program which works through barangay-led mother-to-mother support groups for all pregnant women and lactating mothers with children aged 0-23 months. The compilation narrates experiences of frontline workers and barangays’ leaders, and the program’s impact on the lives of children, parents, government officials and units and the adaptation to the COVID-19 situation. Altogether, this compendium encapsulates how the Right Start Initiative made an impact, overcame challenges, and elevated F1KD over time, thereby paving the way to better health and nutrition for the children of Philippines.
