Kim supports Nutrition International’s programs that advocate, build capacity, and generate evidence for improving maternal and newborn health and nutrition. She provides technical assistance for the design and scale up of integrated nutrition and health programs for pregnant women and newborns, and helps to ensure a continuum of care across these stages of the life cycle. Kim works with national governments and partners to strengthen delivery platforms for and increase access to antenatal, birth, postpartum and neonatal care, in order to help women and their children survive, thrive and reach their full potential.
She brings 10 years of experience managing and providing technical assistance to global nutrition programs, as well as in research in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
Kim was previously Nutrition International’s Program Manager, Strategic Research and Latin America. In this role, she oversaw our proof of concept research portfolio on the benefits, safety, and feasibility of micronutrient interventions for maternal and child health and nutrition, and also oversaw programmatic work in Latin America.
She has a Bachelor of Kinesiology and a Master’s degree in Human Nutrition, with a focus on International and Community Nutrition.
