Overview

Nutrition International’s sex- and gender-based analysis (SGBA) of the adolescent heath and nutrition program in Indonesia was conducted in two cities (Cilegon and Bogor) and two districts (West Bandung and Kupang) within Banten, West Java and East Nusa Tenggara provinces. The qualitative study included desk reviews, document reviews, key informant interviews and focus group discussions to assess the current status of gender sensitivity and responsiveness within programs, considering intersectionality and other contextual factors to provide recommendations for developing short- and long-term strategies for promoting gender equality and implementing gender responsive adolescent health and nutrition programs.
