Overview

This technical brief is developed to provide guidance on appropriate use and considerations for limiting anaemia testing, assessment and screening using haemoglobin in public health anaemia reduction efforts for adolescents. The document will serve as resource tool for Nutrition International’s country teams as they support government partners in designing and implementing adolescent nutrition programs and policies. Additionally, the document will guide advocacy efforts directed towards policy and decision makers around the appropriate use of mass haemoglobin testing for anaemia screening and when investments in other intervention components should be prioritized.
